About Us

Jackie is a former tv journalist and is now an artist. She lived in Nairobi, Kenya in the mid 1960’s. She was given a bushbaby as a pet one Christmas and formed a deep bond with her charge that continued as she traveled to boarding school in Scotland and life in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. Her father wrote a children’s book “The Bushbaby” based on this relationship. The book was made into a movie and later became a popular animated series in Japan. She has in recent year’s done volunteer stints with African Conservation and Biosphere in South Africa and Namibia.

She is excited about this African wildlife trip after a few years working as a companion animal vet in Australia and Bermuda. She has started her own veterinary locum business (vetchloe.com) and is now  joining forces with her Mama who shares the same passion for adventure and conservation! Follow them here 🙂
