Baggage tampering is not uncommon in Jo’burg and we were travelling via Jo’burg to Cape Town. After asking a South African local in the airport line with his bag wrapped, who did not press the need, we ummmed and ahhhed but then decided to go for it! We have nothing valuable but it would just be an inconvenience to replace. It was fun to see a cotton candied suitcase!!! Transitioning to street smart… 🙌🏽
